YSSE celebrated the Golden Jubilee of Independence

This year on March 26, Bangladesh celebrated the Golden Jubilee of Independence. In this 50 years Bangladesh has survived many obstacles and now it has also become a role model for development. All our motivation to move forward and to build a stronger identity comes from a source of sacrifice, that our Independence Day reminds us every year.

Such motivation is the source of fuel to run Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs - YSSE, which is a youth led organization for social entrepreneurship and fostering youth as social entrepreneurs to create positive changes to the society.

To celebrate the golden jubilee of Independence YSSE has organized a special programme named, "লাল সবুজের মুক্তি". All the segments of this special programme aim to notify the youth about our history of glorious fight for freedom. Youth are the future of our country. That's why they should know the history of our root and respect the sacrifice of all the freedom fighters and their dear ones.

"লাল সবুজের মুক্তি" - this event was celebrated in 3 segments. Firstly, there was an Independence Day special quiz program, secondly "স্বাধীনতার ক্যানভাস" titled digital art, photography and drawing competition, and finally a special virtual session. The virtual session got really interesting because of the live quiz and cultural program. The winners of both competitions were announced at the end of the session. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranked participants got special gift hampers from kabuliwala and there was a certificate for all the participants.

The whole event became more memorable because of the speech of a rebellious freedom fighter and the Guest of Honor, Abul Khayer Patwari. All the participants and panel members were really moved with his speech and realized the value of our independence. The Chief Guest of the evening was Atiur Rahman, Bangladeshi Development Economist and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank. Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Dean of School of Business & Economics, North South University appeared as the Special Guest for the session.

50 years of independence, is not just a number of counts. It's the journey of all the people of Bangladesh to turn the sacrifices of freedom fighters into a developed and individual nation.
